How BillPlex makes money

A fair question, and it deserves a straight answer.

BillPlex is free today. Some features will move to a paid Pro tier later this year — things like sync between devices, advanced insights, and family-scale household plans. We need a Pro tier to keep the lights on without ads, without data selling, and without investor pressure to grow at any cost.

When Pro launches publicly, new users will pay a few euros a month only if they want the advanced features. The core — tracking expenses, basic budgets, single-user use — stays free for everyone forever.

We do not run ads. We do not sell data — we could not, because we do not have your data. We are not backed by investors. BillPlex has no servers to maintain, no bank APIs to pay for, no cloud costs. Everything lives on your device. That is what makes this model sustainable.
